Connie S. Freeman

Connie, a graduate of Marshall University, was a banker for 40 years and a lifelong resident of Lawrence County in Southern Ohio. During her 30 year banking career with First National Bank of Ironton/Star Banc Corp./U. S. Bancorp Connie was Senior Vice President, Branch Administrator, and Auditor. She managed the departments of purchasing, training, branches, marketing, compliance, and human resources. After three years working on a grant from the Department of Defense Connie returned to banking at Oak Hill Banks/WesBanco Bank as Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Administrator, Regional Vice President and Executive Director of WesBanco Bank Community Development Corporation.  Connie and her husband, Johnnie, have been married 40 years and have one son, Heath, who is a small business owner. She is an avid collector of costume jewelry and antiques. During Connie’s time as a supervisor she has learned the importance of training managers as supervisors instead of moving the star performers to management position without the needed preparation and guidance.
